L F W ... Mehron makes it debut

September is coming to an end ... and here at Treasure House of Makeup we are a little sad to see it go not only does it mean summer is well and truly over *sobs* it also means we are waving goodbye to what has been an amazing month for us especially as Mehron UK made it's debut at LFW ... and what a week it was!
So this blog post is dedicated to the wonderful week that was LFW! and who better to share all that with than YOU GUYS!!!

Teaming up with AOFM  Mehron UK had the great honor of opening and closing London Fashion Week, as the makeup sponsors for the opening show Bora Aksu and the closing show Haizhen Wang both incredible designers (who have already got us excited for S/S14 we are going to be sporting sunshine yellow and structured tailoring) and for both shows the team was headed by the very talented and lovely makeup artist Yin Lee of AOFM who has worked for publications such as Japanese Vogue & for brands like Agent Provocateur.

The Opening Show Bora Aksu

The Turkish Designer explored his Turkish roots and his childhood on the Aegean Coast, the blues in Bora's collection were inspired by the Turkish Nazareth boncuk (Turkish Eveil eye) warn to ward off evil spirits, the textiles were a mix of traditional Turkish textiles pom poms and hand crocheted patterns with modern sheer fabrics all influenced and inspired by the white sands and fishing boats of the beautiful Aegean Coast (we wish we were there now!)
The Beauty look was all about no makeup makeup! the models were to look fresh faces with dewy sun-kissed cheeks, and an out-doorsy fresh faced look. Eyes and lips were tinted with colour and cheeks were flushed rather than blushed ...

The Products

Aura Bronzing Gel - to give a sunkissed glow

Celebre Pro HD Cream applied after the glow to give a natural even complexion
Cherry Chocolate LIP Cream - to flush down the cheeks
Clear Glosstone Pro - on cheekbones to give a dewy complexion
Fawn EYE Shadow Cherry Chocolate LIP - stained the lips to give a hint of colour

The Closing Show Haizhen Wang

This season was inspired by urban architecture, and continued on from the previous season the woman were no longer warriors however they were still strong with an element of deconstruction. The collection is influenced by demolition and deconstruction & seeing the beauty in these elements therefore Haizhen explores the softer side with more relaxed lines whilst still incorporating his trademark strong tailoring
The Beauty Look was all about strong woman with elements of deconstruction who were still beautiful the face was paled out but the lashes were still full to show the beauty.

The Products
Celebre Pro HD in Eurasia Ivory applied in the middle and blended out to pale out the face but not mask it
EYE brow pencil was used to fill the brows & Fawn EYE powder to the eye lids
Lashes of Black Mascara Pro to make the eyes full and beautiful
Cherrywood LIP colour applied to the center and blended out into the cracks to give an almost blood stained lip

Both looks were stunning on the catwalk and complimented the beautiful collections!! Do you fancy a LFW catwalk ready look? why not recreate or give your own twist on the original ? All products can be found at Mehron UK
